One of Leo's favorite cookbooks is Lüchow's German Cookbook, illustrated by Ludwig Bemelmans, who penned and illustrated the Madeline series.  As Bemelmans sketched on the back of menus at Pete's Tavern in NYC, Leo also sketched chefs, wait staff, musicians, etc., on the back of napkins, tablecloths, and anything he could find!  Here is one Leo's impressions of New Orleans culinary life.
